Grizzly Creek Lodge, is the only Yukon fishing lodge in southeast Yukon. The southeast corner of the Territory is a wild pristine environment, devoid of roads or industry of any kind.
The area surrounding the lodge is a mecca for waterfowl and wildlife. It’s not uncommon to see moose, bears, and other wildlife right from the lodge. The forest surrounding the lake is all old-growth, with some of the larger trees being over 300 years old! The entire Toobally Lakes drainage is home to the widest variety of bird species in the entire Territory. Biologists have documented bird species in the area that are not present anywhere else in Yukon. Some of the species you will see daily include trumpeter swans, both bald and golden eagles, ospreys, and a wide variety of songbirds.
Meals are hearty home-style, all cooked by Reggie, who has gained a reputation in the industry for her baking and main courses. Our guests often request her recipes which she is happy to share. Wine is served with dinner, and fresh baked goods are always available. On the last evening of your stay, Reggie serves a traditional Thanksgiving-type meal with all the trimmings. This tradition started many years ago, and it signifies our thanks to each and every one of our clients.
Starlink satellite internet system is now set up at the main lodge. It’s probably healthy for us to escape technology occasionally, but I understand that some people need to communicate with the outside world for business reasons.
